Chi and The Chi Vitalizer Machine

What is chi?

Chi or Qi is a Chinese word that when translated to English has several meanings such as air, breath, spirit, vital energy, and energy of life.

In Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), chi is thought to be the life force that runs all over our body and it’s what we need to stay alive. This idea of a life force doesn’t just exist in TCM, it’s also observed in other ancient cultures like Korea, Japan, Hawaii, Greece, Finland, Egypt, and India. The name with which it is called is different in each culture but the meaning remains the same.

Importance of having a balanced chi

In China, a well-balanced chi is acclaimed as being healthy physically and physiologically. It’s also believed that chi can be improved through Tai Chi, gentle massage, yoga, and acupuncture. Practitioners of TCM believe that enhancing one’s chi leads to increased energy and good health.

In traditional Chinese medicine, chi is known to flow throughout the body through the meridians that can be accessed through the fascia, a connective tissue that can be found under the skin. It is believed that any imbalance or a blockage in the flow of chi will result in illnesses and other health problems that can affect one’s mental health. Organs can also be affected by chi imbalance and make the body prone to diseases.

Signs and symptoms of chi imbalance

  • Tiredness
  • Moodiness
  • Hormonal imbalance
  • Difficulty in breathing
  • Body pain
  • Weak muscles
  • Stress
  • Sweating spontaneously
  • Depression
  • Cramps

How to enhance your chi

Aside from Tai Chi, massage, yoga, and acupuncture, there are other methods that can help to enhance your chi. Here are some simple ways to boost your chi:

Get adequate sleep

Tiredness is one of the signs of having an unbalanced chi. Getting the right amount of sleep can help in balancing your chi. Too much work and not enough rest can lead to chi imbalance.

Mindful breathing

Another way to improve chi is through mindful breathing. Practicing deep breathing can stimulate chi energy. Inhale slowly a deep breath through your nose and feel your belly expand. Then slowly exhale through your mouth.

Have a healthy and balanced diet

Having a healthy and nutritious diet is an important factor in maintaining a balanced chi. The body mostly obtains chi from food so eating nourishing foods can help promote good health and a balanced chi.

Ensure mental wellness

The connection between the mind and the body plays an essential part in having a balanced chi. If you’re not mentally healthy then your body wouldn’t be healthy as well. Anxiety and depression are mental illnesses that people commonly experience. You can ask a mental health expert for help if you have mental issues.
