This is amazing for gently working out body 'kinks'. The video is a little disappointing, as the speaker is shown more than the people demonstrating. But I've used the Yamuna in a class before so know what I want to do.

Since I started using this Yamuna ball, my back pain is gone. I learned the techniques from the book The Ultimate Body Rolling Workout: The Revolutionary Way to Tone, Lengthen, and Realign Your Body by Yamuna Zake ($13.26 on Amazon). The video that comes with the ball is also helpful. I was so impressed, I went to the Yamuna website and found a local trainer to work with on improving my technique. Highly recommend!

I suffer from a lower back problem and have been unable to exercise for several years. I am able to do this DVD without aggravating my back. I am surprised by how tight my muscles are and by how much better I am moving after using this product only 3 times. If you have very tight muscles, expect this to hurt....kind of like a massage that is done way too hard. The DVD does not cover every part of the body, but I think it is a good starting point to see how body rolling is done. If I had only purchased the book, I would have rushed through the moves and not gotten as much benefit. I plan to buy the foot walkers next and work on my body alignment, in the hopes that it will further help my back pain. I also purchased the "miracle ball" kit, but I prefer this and feel it gives me more benefit.

I bought this as an alternative to static stretches. I love yoga but sometimes it hurts to hold poses due to tight muscles. I realize I use this more as a seat when I have to work on the floor. It's actually quite comfortable and fun to roll around on it. After the first use just sitting on my sit bones and rolling the ball back and forth I felt a release in my back muscles (probably my PSOAS) and I felt my posture drastically improve. I finally felt what standing up straight feels like. However the sensation is fleeting, so you have to keep working on the ball to achieve good poster.

Just the type of workout I've been looking for. It really helps with relaxing the tension in my muscles, decreases the trigger point pain, and works on core strengthening all at the same time. I highly recommend it.

This did miracles for my back. The back stretching and front rolling really helped my long-time back problems! I tried to substitute a similar size playground ball and it did not work. This ball is strong and flexible and comes with a nice hand pump so you can even tuck the deflated ball and pump in your suitcase when travelling.

It really makes a difference. I usually look to yoga and tennis balls to soothe my aches and heal my body. This really provides a different therapy.

I use Yamuna balls at my gym and like them so much I got a set for home use. I used to be a fan of foam rollers but this is better than a foam roller for my legs. It gets spot the roller can't.
